The Southwest Florida Library Network has partnered with the University of Florida's Digital Library Center and the Publication of Archival Library & Museum Materials (PALMM) to digitize thousands of images from museums and historical institutions in the Southwest Florida region. Participating organizations include:

• Big Cypress National Preserve
• Cape Coral Historical Society and Museum
• Clewiston Museum
• Estero Island Historical Society
• Koreshan State Historic Site
• Sanibel Historical Village and Museum
• Sanibel Public Library
• The Schoolhouse Theater

The Digitizing Southwest Florida's Heritage project's images are available online and searchable.
